Happy July to all of our Collaborative friends! PLEASE READ THIS LETTER!
I hope I have grabbed and can keep your attention for just a few short moments. Some of you may not know this, but our CDT Executive Board rolls over to new officers each year in June. I am beginning my fifth year on the CDT Board of Trustees, and it is my honor to assume the position of Board President for this next year. I can only hope to fill a small part of the large shoes that have been left behind by our past-Presidents and esteemed Collaborative colleagues. And I know this – I cannot do it alone. I NEED YOUR HELP to continue the growth of this amazing Collaborative movement that we are all a part of.
Collaborative Divorce Texas is a wonderful village of attorneys, mental health professionals, and financial professionals working to offer a better way for couples to divorce than what they can find in our court system. If we all work together, we can grow this movement exponentially. Ever heard the saying “Many hands make for light work”? Or maybe the good ol’ movie line “Help me….help you…”?
Each month over the course of the next year, I will be sending out a small call to action in the monthly President’s letter that I hope each of you will accept. Some of those actions include: recruiting a new member, having coffee or a meal with someone who has never heard of the Collaborative process, writing a blog for the CDT website. There will be others. But start thinking about what you might do to help grow this movement and our organization and be ready for those calls to action.
It takes a village. And I am honored to be a part of this village with you. Now let’s grow!
CDT President 2022-2023
