The last major professional gathering most of us attended was likely the 2020 Spring Conference. While that seems so long ago, the strong bond of the collaborative community once again was on display last month in Dallas. The collective spirit of all who gathered to learn, grow, and socialize created an incredible atmosphere and opportunity not just to reconnect but to rejuvenate. To appreciate the process and participants in what we are engaged. To what we are dedicated.
From opening announcements to Jack Emmott’s always Grand Finale, the presentations were stellar, informational, and inspiring. The last 5 years, punctuated by this year’s event, spotlights the growth in both the practice of Collaborative Law and the practitioner of Collaborative Divorce. Topics such as Use of Specialized Professionals such as Child, Valuation and Financial Specialists to practical advice from well-seasoned colleagues provides greater insight and arms us all with new and creative ways to assist our clients transition in the most difficult of times. We have, as a group, moved from the basic science of “how to” to the intuitive and elevated art of “how to excel”.
The Membership Meeting brought us new Board Members and an opportunity to thanks those outgoing members who provide so many hours making CDT the best Collaborative Divorce Organization in the World. We also learned of the upcoming plans for CDT and opportunities for you to serve on committees to help CDT achieve its latest goals.
The event would not be what is has become year in and year out, without the extraordinary efforts of so many, starting with our Executive Director, Ronda Robinson. We owe a debt of gratitude to her and all those who planned and presented, especially Course Directors, Ester Donald and Jonathan Friday; those who planned the Art Walk/Talk Event and Dinner, and all those who were Sponsors.
Finally, thanks to all members who attended the Spring Conference and Annual Membership Meeting. CDT is only as strong as its members dedication and commitment.
